Your Answer
DELF B1 — Essai
Cordialement,
Jean Dupont
AI Analysis
Score: 16/25
"parler de le problème" → "parler du problème"
"beaucoup des voitures" → "beaucoup de voitures"
"faire construire" is okay, but "aménager" is more precise for a bike lane (piste cyclable).

Everything you need to know about DELF B1
The DELF B1 exam evaluates four core language skills: Listening (Compréhension de l'oral), Reading (Compréhension des écrits), Writing (Production écrite), and Speaking (Production orale). Each section tests your ability to interact, understand, and express yourself in everyday French situations.
To pass the DELF B1 exam, you need an overall score of at least 50 out of 100 points across all four sections combined. Additionally, you must achieve a minimum score of 5 out of 25 in each individual section (an eliminatory score is below 5/25).
The total duration of the group written exam is 1 hour and 55 minutes (Listening: ~25 mins, Reading: ~45 mins, Writing: ~45 mins). The individual oral test lasts approximately 15 minutes, preceded by 10 minutes of preparation time.
Each of the four sections is scored out of 25 points, making the total exam score 100 points. Objective questions are scored against an official answer key, while written and spoken productions are assessed using standardized CEFR rubric criteria.
You can prepare online by taking realistic full-length mock exams under authentic time constraints, targeting your weak spots with modular practice, and studying detailed feedback on every practice question.
On FrancaisUp, you can practice official-style writing prompts (such as formal emails, essays, and opinion letters). Our AI writing assistant instantly evaluates your submission according to DELF criteria, highlights grammatical and lexical errors, and provides specific suggestions to improve.
